Peaceful In-Home Pet Euthanasia

This work is different. So is how we do it.

Most veterinarians spend their careers in clinics. Some of the best ones leave. They leave because the system asks them to rush through the moments that matter most. Restful Paw exists for veterinarians who refuse to do that.

We do not rush. We do not double-book. We do not cut corners.

Every family gets one veterinarian, one visit, and as much time as they need. There is no production quota. There is no pressure to move on to the next appointment. The visit takes as long as the moment requires.

We handle everything that is not clinical. Scheduling, client communication, billing, cremation coordination, aftercare. You walk into a home, care for a family, and leave knowing that every part of the experience was handled with dignity.

Our two-step sedation protocol is non-negotiable. Every pet is sedated first, fully comfortable, before anything else happens. This is the standard. If you believe in cutting that step to save time, we are not the right fit.

The model

What you get when you join.

We built this so veterinarians can do the work without carrying the business.

Flexible scheduling.

Set your own availability. Work full-time, part-time, or alongside your current practice. You decide how many visits you take and when.

Competitive per-visit compensation.

You are paid per visit with transparent, competitive rates. No salary caps, no production quotas. The more families you help, the more you earn.

Full coordination and logistics.

We handle client intake, scheduling, billing, payment processing, cremation logistics, and aftercare follow-up. You never chase a payment or coordinate a pickup.

Clinical support and protocols.

Our two-step sedation protocol is provided along with supply guidance, medication sourcing, and access to experienced veterinarians in the network for clinical questions.

Emotional support and community.

End-of-life care is heavy work. We provide resources for compassion fatigue, peer support from other veterinarians in the network, and a team that understands what this work takes.

A growing network you can shape.

We are early. Joining now means you help define how this is done. Your feedback, your experience, and your standards shape the network as it grows.

This is not for every veterinarian.

We are selective. Not because we need to be exclusive, but because the families we serve deserve someone who treats this visit as the most important appointment of the day. Every time.

You need to be comfortable sitting with grief. Comfortable in silence. Comfortable telling a family that their pet is not in pain anymore, and meaning it. Clinical skill matters, but emotional presence matters more.

Licensed DVM or VMD. DEA license required (we help you get one if needed). Available for a minimum commitment per week. Experience in end-of-life care is valuable but not required. What we cannot teach is compassion. You either have it or you do not.

Three steps. No red tape.

1

Apply

Fill out the application below. Tell us about your background, your experience, and why this work interests you. It takes about five minutes.

2

Interview

We schedule a conversation to learn about you and answer your questions. This is a two-way conversation, not an interrogation. We want to make sure this is the right fit for both of us.

3

Onboard

Once accepted, we walk you through our protocols, connect you with supplies and medication sourcing, and start matching you with families in your area. Most veterinarians see their first family within two weeks of onboarding.

Straight answers to the questions you actually have.

You are paid a competitive per-visit rate. Compensation details are discussed during your interview. There are no salary caps or production minimums.

Yes. Many veterinarians in our network maintain their existing practice and take Restful Paw visits on specific days or evenings. You set your own availability and we schedule around it.

We provide a complete supply list and guidance on sourcing medications. Most veterinarians use a small travel kit that fits in a bag. We walk you through everything during onboarding.

Yes. A DEA license is required to carry and administer controlled substances for euthanasia. If you do not have one, we can guide you through the application process. It typically takes four to eight weeks.

We do. Restful Paw coordinates all client intake, appointment scheduling, payment processing, and cremation logistics. After the visit, you complete a brief clinical record and we handle everything else.

You receive our full clinical protocol, video resources, consent forms, and supply sourcing guidance. Depending on your location, we may also arrange shadowing with an experienced veterinarian in the network.

This depends on your availability and your market. We are transparent about volume expectations during your interview. As our network grows in your area, visit volume grows with it.

We take this seriously. You have access to peer support from other veterinarians in the network, curated resources on emotional resilience in end-of-life care, and a team that checks in with you regularly. You are not doing this alone.
